Director of Coaching
We're excited to welcome former U.S. Youth National Team coach John Amorim as our first Director of Coaching! John joins the team with an extensive playing/coaching backgrounds and will use his in depth knowledge of the game to lead our clubs coaching staff.
Playing Experience: John has also had an illustrious playing career, including being a two-time First Team All-American and a member of the US Amateur Cup Champion Philadelphia Inter team. John also played collegiately at Division 3 powerhouse Lynchburg University.
Coaching Experience: John most recently comes from the legendary FC Delco youth soccer program as a goalkeeping director. Prior he spent time coaching at a variety of youth clubs including most notably serving as an assistant coach under Head Coach Manfred Schellscheidt for the US U-14 National Team from 2006 to 2012. On the collegiate side John has spent time at a variety of different levels including time at Division 1 Temple University.
Coaching License: Not only has John received his USSF A license, he is also certified to teach the courses as well!

Director of Coaching
Phil McCormick started with Synergy FC (now known as PFA-New England) as a player throughout his entire youth and has been on their coaching staff since 2015. During his youth, Phil played in some of the nation’s most prestigious and competitive events, such as the Dallas Cup (Texas), Disney Showcase (Florida), US Club Soccer National Championships (Virginia Beach) and multiple Region I Championships.
Phil was a center-midfielder and four-year starter for Saint Michaels College (NCAA DII) from 2012 until 2015, and graduated with distinction in May 2016. As a football educator, Phil is instilling the values that he learned while playing into every player he coaches, while also teaching the principles for playing great football.
Phil continues to uphold the mission and core values of the club (Excellence, Courage, Passion, Wisdom and Honor) and looks forward to growth for himself, the players and the club with the new transition to PFA-New England.
